About the event

Did you know that separation anxiety is often only a partial explanation of the distress many dogs feel when left alone? The latest research is showing that different presentations of distress have unique, underlying motivations and emotions. Our speaker, Alexandra Dilley, is a trainer specializing in separation-related problems, with a background in helping shelter and rescue dogs with these issues to recover. She will explain why it's so important to focus on predictability and helping dogs not just hold it together, but actually relax when alone. She will also show how she has helped caregivers to make training work for dogs, in a variety of situations, including those in foster homes.
