Vet Clinic Classes
Going to the vet is part of a healthy life for a puppy/dog, but we know it can be a stressful experience for many dogs. We want to improve the experience for the dogs (and all of the people) and set everyone up to succeed in the veterinary clinic environment. We are offering three programs to accomplish this:
1. Likes The Vet: Socialization visit for puppies, and dogs who already like the vet and want to keep loving it!
2. Unsure About The Vet: For puppies and dogs who already have some mild fear and stress about the vet
3. Hates The Vet: Private sessions for dogs needing specialized help with vet-related issues- COMING SOON! If you want to get on the waitlist for this class, email us at info@everydogaustin.org
***NO veterinary treatment or advice will be given during this class. It is ONLY an opportunity to get used to the vet clinic with the help of skilled trainers!
Class is held at Star of Texas Veterinary Hospital at 10706 Brodie Ln, but you do not need to be a client there to attend class.
1. Likes The Vet
Description:
If you have a puppy (or an adult dog who already likes the vet), this class is for you! This is an opportunity to explore, build positive associations, and learn that the vet clinic is awesome!

Starts 10am on Saturday, but you will be emailed a 10-20minute time slot the day before!
*If your dog is anxious or reactive to new people/dogs or fearful at the vet clinic, choose class 2 or 3.
2. Unsure About The Vet
Description:
This is for dogs who already struggle a little bit at the vet. They might be slightly fearful of new people or the clinic itself, and need some time (and trainer help!) to change their associations to positive ones.

*If your dog is significantly anxious, reactive, or fearful at the vet clinic, please email us about class 3.
3. Hates The Vet
Description:
Some dogs have a really hard time at the vet: they may be terrified, reactive to people or dogs, try to bite, or can't even get inside the clinic.
